Demolition phase post fire
Significant demolition was required after this fire, which could have been much worse. One of the first objectives our team must accomplish is determining if belongings can be saved. Using specialized equipment and techniques allows many damaged items to be salvaged and cleaned including furniture, papers, keepsakes, and clothing. Items that are beyond repair are documented and removed. This includes waterlogged sheetrock, insulation, and other building components which will need to be replaced. Then, special cleaning methods are used to clean the toxic products of combustion that cover the surrounding areas in the form of smoke, soot, and ash. Not only is the smell an issue but long-term exposure can cause effects to one's health.
